Holding Items:

Please fill out our secure order form if you are paying via Check or Money Order and we will happily hold your item up to 7 days to await your payment. We do not hold items when paying via Visa or Master Card as we have a secure shopping cart available for your convenience. If you have special circumstances please do not hesitate to contact us as we can accommodate most anything.

Lay-A-Way Plan:

We're offering a lay-a-way plan for 30, 60, & 90 days for all customers with a 50% deposit at time of sale and pro-rated monthly thereafter for up to 3 months. Final payment due within 90 days of initial order. If payment is'nt made at end of 90 days, then be prepared to lose 50% of paid amount. Please email your order so we can discuss the payment plan which best suits your needs. All lay-a-ways are best and preferred paid via Visa or Master Card however, other arrangements can be made in advance. Do not use the shopping cart simply email me for your Lay-A-Way.

Gift Certificates:

Our Gift Certificates are ready to go. Your gift certificate will be mailed within 24 hours after receipt of payment unless payment is via personal check (7 days to clear). Just go to our gift certificate page, go to our shopping cart then chose the amount desired, make your payment and your gift certificate will be mailed to your special person the next business day. No better way to brighten someone's day especially when they least expect it. Last but certainly not least....we have implemented a free gift for your speical someone on the receiving end. Returns:

Because of the nature of our items, we have a "NO RETURNS" policy. Please be certain when placing your order. If you have any questions prior to your order, feel free to contact us.

Availability:

Although we may have similar types of items in a particular category, our items are unique-one-of-a kind antiques and collectibles. Unless noted that there is more than one item then you should assume there is only one available. All though I will strive to keep notices on the webpage of items available or on hold you still should check with me personally to make sure item is in fact available. If an item is on hold, we will take your name and let you know if it becomes available again.

Condition:

To the best of my knowledge, all items are antiques or collectibles, unless specified otherwise. We do not knowingly sell reproductions as antiques! I try my very best to accurately describe each item and its condition. I keep quality items in stock at all times. Please understand that the actual colors of the items may not be exactly what you see on your screen. Since these items are antiques and collectibles from 20 years to 100 years old, minor signs of age and wear are not unusual, especially in clothing, hats, and antique beaded purses. I try to describe minor wear and flaws accurately. All items I offer for sale are in good - excellent - mint condition. I try to keep quality pieces in stock at all times. Before you place an order and you have any questions, please e-mail or call before ordering.

Shipping & Handling & Insurance:

Kajn's Vintage Pretty 'n Lace greatly appreciates your business and we strive to keep shipping & handling fees as low as possible. All shipments will automatically be insured, where eligible, for the purchase price.

Ship Days:

We now ship within 3-5 days of receipt of order unless you need a rush delivery. However, payment must reach us before 5pm on the day before or your items will be added to the next ship day. This allows us to be completed with packageing by 6pm on the day before. If you have a special circumstance please do not hesitate to let us know. We will try to accommodate your request. During holiday times we strive to ship more frequent for your convenience.

Shipping Methods for United States Customers:

• US Priority Mail - Buyer is required to pay cost of shipping plus Insurance up to $50.00 = $1.65, Insurance from $50.01 - $100.00 = $2.05. Delivery Confirmation is also required for an additional $0.45 (cents).
  

• US Parcel Post - Buyer is required to pay cost of shipping plus Insurance up to $50.00 = $1.65, Insurance from $50.01 - $100.00 = $2.05, etc. Delivery Confirmation is also required for an additional $0.55 (cents).
  
  
• Free Shipping : Occassionally I offer Free Shipping within the Continental United States, which is noted on the home page. Free shipping means shipping only, does not include Handling, Insurance, or Delivery Confirmation, which is mandatory on all orders. See notes below!
  
  
• Note: At this time shipping rates will continue to be free however the Handling/Insurance/Delivery Confirmation fees have increased a little bit. The more expensive the item the more the insurance and handling will be. The rates will vary from a flat fee of $4.00 - $8.00. Each item will be mark individually and this will cover insurance and handling fees.
  
  
• Note: Some items do not qualify for Free Shipping and they will be clearly marked.
  
  
• Note: Those paying by Paypal.com there is a flat fee of $4.00 - $8.00 to cover additional charges for Handling/Insurance/Delivery Confirmation, however in most cases this does not cover everything. Shipping Cost USPS:

This scale is for the times Free Shipping is NOT available. The scale below will give you an idea of what the cost could be. This scale is for lingerie, robes, slips, dressing gowns, and accessories only. All other items such as coats, dresses, heavier items will have to be determined at time of sale.

Shipping for International Customers:

When order is first placed there is a $4.00 shipping charge that is on each order, however you will be billed for the remainder shipping & handling fees once item is packaged and weighed. Item will not be shipped until shipping is paid. You will receive a new invoice from Paypal.com for the shipping costs. In other words when you pay for your merchandise order you will pay for the total amount of the item(s) plus $4.00 and then you will be billed via Paypal.com a second time for the shipping & handling. I always strive to reach the most convienant cost efficient savings when shipping to international buyers however, I usually ship your package Priority Mail 7-10 days delivery time, however that depends on your location. However you can request shipping via a different method but you are responsible for all costs.

• Note: International customers - when you place your order with KVPNL you are charged for partial shipping your item. You will be billed after your item has been packaged and weighed. At that time I will send you an invoice via paypal.com. Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice. Your package WILL NOT be shipped until shipping is paid in full. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

This chart is simply to give you an idea of how I measure items we sell.

Olga Disclaimer:

I will try to give you the best measurements possible. With the OLGA GOWNS, I give you a ~Stretch Measurements~ which is the relaxed to maximum stretch inches. For instance, a 36-52 inch measurement DOES NOT mean it will fit a size 52 bust, but that the BUST FULLNESS area stretches to 52 inches. PLEASE measure something you have and compare.Please always keep this in mind when ordering. I Cannot nor can I Guarantee a fit or give you a refund for sizing.

Condition Classifications: Keep in mind these items are 'Vintage' so the items are almost always 'USED'. So if I say an item is in 'Mint' condition, it means 'Mint Vintage Condition', not what 'Mint Condition would be if you went to Dillards and purchased an item TODAY. There is a difference!

MINT - Garment is brand new with or without tags and has no apparent defects.
LIKE NEW - reserved for pre-owned (used) garments that could pass for brand new.
EXCELLENT - Garment has been gently worn and may show very minor signs of wear.
GREAT - Garment shows considerable wear and may have a minor flaw, which will not take away
from the beauty of the gown, such as an abundance of picks (tiny pulls in the fabric) or a
noticeable sewing repair or minor discoloration, which is not easily noticeable.
GOOD - Garment shows considerable signs of wear. It may have slight defects, which are not
limited to discolorations and stains that take away from the beauty of the garment.

About Me:

I am originally from a little town called Violet. Violet just a few miles East of New Orleans LA. As being unfortunatly a victim of Hurricane Katrina 8/29/05 I no longer live there. It was a wonderful place to grow up and live. I'm a single mother, who thoroughly enjoyed dressing up as a child and still love it today. I could have very easily lived in the Victorian Era (well not sure of out-houses) but the clothes are stunning and all the ladies looked ever so elegant. This is a hobby that I love and this gives me a chance to share some of my Vintage Pretties with you to also enjoy. I'm home based, mail order only, not open to the public.
